Super Full Moon Sunset Paddle

Date: Saturday, July 12, 2014
Time: 5:30 PM -
Location: Narrow River Kayaks, 94B Middlebridge Road, Narragansett

Seventh Annual Pettaquamscutt Paddle

When the moon's position is furthest away from Earth, it is called “apogee,” while its closest approach to Earth is referred to as “perigee.” When a full moon is at perigee, it is referred to as a Super Full Moon.

Please join us on July 12 for this Perigee Paddle to benefit Narrow River Preservation Association. Arrive at Narrow River Kayaks at 5:30 p.m. for a brief orientation and presentation by NRPA Board Members before setting out on this approximately 2.5-hour guided twilight tour of the lower Narrow River.

Witness the splendor and peacefulness of the tidal inlet and salt marsh as the full moon rises over the Atlantic while the sun sets on the western horizon.

Your glow sticks will keep you illuminated as your kayak glides through the semi-darkness during your return trip.

Stay afterwards for refreshments, conversation and raffle drawing.
