2011 May 30-August 4: Mission Kampala, UgandaDate: 1/5/2012 - 1/1/2015 Time: - David Stockwell and the DSEA team had the wonderful privilege of ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ while on mission in Kampala, Uganda, May 30-August 4, 2011. Two team members, Steven Stockwell and Beka Hawkins, worked in different areas of the country with our NEST (National Evangelist Support Team) to reach students and young people with the story of Jesus and His love. Beka served alongside our DSEA ministry partners at African Children's Mission, while Steven traveled to rural areas, speaking in schools to thousands of students. While the team was in Kampala and Kakooge, a rural area north of the capital city, the team hosted a community outreach event, the David Stockwell CityCelebration, where hundreds of people heard and responded to the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Team members spoke to several thousand students in the Kampala area, presenting the David Stockwell Speaks Out school program. Students were educated about drug and alcohol abuse, AIDS, sexual morality, and other social and moral values and were presented with a clear, uncompromising message of the love of Jesus Christ, His sacrifice on the cross, and the promise of redemption following repentance from sin and acceptance of His Lordship in a person's life. The DSEA team also hosted an Evangelism Training Conference for church leaders at Kisaasi (Revival) Fire Center Church - the third DSEA conference there since 2007, and finished the mission with ministry in local churches and more school programs. God did great things through His people in Uganda. Please pray for the DSEA team, and the Ugandan NEST Team, as they continue the work of follow-up and discipleship in schools, churches and communities.
