StudentsLooking for College Ministry?
The Yates youth ministry seeks to integrate the youth into the larger life and work of the church through the leadership and influence of many great adult mentors from all walks of life. Programmatically the youth ministry operates in the following ways:
Wednesday Nights - Bible Study at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church
5:45 - Shuttle leaves from Yates (or you can meet at Mt. Hermon at 6:00
6:00 - Bible study and snacks at Mt. Hermon
7:30 - Back at Yates
Sunday Mornings - Sunday School (in the Attic)
9:45-10:45 - We gather for a big group ice breaker and then divide by grade for smaller group lessons.
Sunday Nights - Dinner, Worship, and "Christian Heroes" (in the Attic)
5:00-7:00 - We enjoy a meal together, a time of student led worship and contemplation, and a discussion of various Christian leaders throughout history (MLK, C.S. Lewis, Mother Teresa, Clarence Jordan, St. Francis, etc...). We conclude our time together with something fun (games, crafts, hangout, etc...).
