1. Message from Pastor Donna Avera
Pastor Donna wants you to know that God’s grace leads and guides our lives and she knows that the people and places that we experience along life’s journey are not mere coincidences. God takes care of His children and He knows what is best. As she stepped forward to serve different churches, God has truly embraced her family and blessed them with many caring servants.
She says ‘thank you’ for your prayers, support, encouragement, for your love and friendship - but mostly for your faithfulness and love of our Heavenly Father.
2. A little bit about me...
Rev. Donna Avera is excited for the upcoming opportunity to serve as Pastor of Emanuel UMC in Brunswick, Ga. God has blessed her ministry through the South Georgia Conference. She has served as Pastor, Youth Minister, and also as Children’s & Youth Director; within the Coastal, North Central and Northeast Districts.
Pastor Donna is the founder of KneeMail - sharing God’s love through print; with devotionals in The Savannah Morning News, as well as the mini-magazine EDIFY encouraging churches and ministries to edify one another.
She is a fourth year student attending Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
Pastor Donna has learned a lot in the past couple of years, as bone cancer claimed the life of her husband Joel in April of 2017. It is her prayer that God will use her struggles for wisdom in guiding others to Him, as well as unfold His grace as she moves forward to restored life.
Pastor Donna has two grown daughters and is the proud grandmother of three granddaughters.
