NRPA: Working since 1970 to preserve, protect, and restore Narrow River and its watershed.

25th Narrow River Road Race

More than 240 runners and walkers enjoyed ideal weather conditions and one of the most beautiful courses in New England as they participated in this year's Narrow River Road Race, the 25th running of the event. With the help of lead sponsor Citizens Bank and 46 other sponsors and donors, the road race is a principal fund raiser for the NRPA's educational initiatives and watershed preservation programs.

Joe Siravo (#86, right) of Boston takes an early lead in the 10K Run in the 2012 Narrow River Road Race. Siravo would go on to win the event with a time of 36:42. Claire Gadrow of South Kingstown was the top female finisher in the 10K with a time of 41:32.

Thijs Kolet of Providence finished first in the 5K run with a time of 16:47. Michaeline Nelson, also of Providence, ran the 5K in 19:22, best time among female runners.
