Registration for the 2019-2020 school year is on Monday, January 28th at 6pm for returning families and church members and at 6:30 for new families. Registration will be held in Georgetown Hall (upstairs from the school).

Weekday School Registration Information 2019-2020

Registration for the WUMC Weekday School 2019-2020 school year begins 1/28/19 and is ongoing until classes fill. To reserve your child's spot, please complete the registration form and enclose a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee (per family, not student). First month's tuition will be due after your child has been placed in his/her class. Checks should be payable to WUMC Weekday School. A supply and activity fee is due at the first class meeting in September. $50 for 2 day classes, $75 for 3 day classes, and $100 for 5 days classes (per student, not family). Traditionally morning classes are very popular so to make the afternoon classes more appealing we offer a PM discount. We ask that you pay careful attention to the age requirements. However, because we are a private school, we have flexibility and can sometimes make exceptions. We will make every attempt to place your child in the desired class but we operate on a first come first serve basis. If two children from the same family are enrolled, the second child’s tuition is reduced by 20%. All classes are planned to be developmentally appropriate to the ages of the children enrolled. Below are the descriptions of the classes that we offer:

YOUNG THREES

This is a special class for the older two year old/younger three year old having a first experience away from home. Supervised play, art and craft projects, and alternating quiet and active times are part of the day. Classes have a limited number of children supervised by a teacher and an assistant teacher. Children will need to be turning 3 years old by March 1, 2020. Toilet training is NOT required. Class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays and run from 9-11:30 am. Tuition is $140 per month.

PROGRAMS FOR THREES

Classes are limited to 10 children to a 1 teacher ratio . To be eligible for the 3’s class, a child must be three years old by September 1, 2019. Students are introduced to letters, complete craft projects that focus on fine motor skills, and develop social and behavioral skills. Toilet training is required. Classes meet two days per week from 9-11:30 am. Tuition is $140 per month. We will need a minimum of 6 students to open a class.

OLDER THREES

This special class fills a need for older threes who are ready for more demanding activities and a longer day. They will learn how to form letters through the Handwriting Without Tears Handwriting program. Class size is limited to 10 children to 1 teacher ratio. To be eligible for this class, the child will need to be three by March 1, 2019. Toilet training is required for this class. The class meets three days per week for 3 hours from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm or 12:15 pm - 3:15 pm. Tuition is $210 per month ($195 for the afternoon session).

PROGRAMS FOR FOURS

Our classes for fours are limited to 10 children per 1 teacher ratio. The child must be four by September 30, 2019. Toilet training is required. The 4s work from the Handwriting Without Tears Handwriting program and uses the same Pre K curriculum but on a smaller scale. They are exposed to math concepts with the use of manipulatives. In most cases, these students should head to Kindergarten the following year. Classes meet three days per week for 3 hours from

9:00 am - 12:00 pm or 12:15 pm - 3:15 pm. Tuition is $210 per month, ($195 for the afternoon session).

PRE K PROGRAM

This class is for the four year old who is ready for a faster paced learning environment. The curriculum is based around the Handwriting Without Tears Handwriting program and challenges the students to think on a higher level. They are exposed to math concepts with the use of manipulatives. There are 10 children per 1 teacher ratio. The child must be four by September 1, 2019. Toilet training is required. Classes meet five days a week for 3 hours from 9:00 - 12:00 pm

or 12:15 pm - 3:15 pm. Tuition is $275 per month ($260 for the afternoon session).

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

This class of 8 is designed for students who just miss the September 1st FCPS cut off or for those children who have late summer birthdays and chose to stay back for one more year. It is a 5 day program for 5 hours a day. Class runs from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Students bring their own lunch. Instruction covers more topics, focuses on improving handwriting, introduces sight words, and encourages higher level thinking. It also includes library, bible study, music, and allows the students to adjust to a longer day. Students will need to be 5 by December 1, 2019. Tuition is $350 per month.
