We are requesting that each Sunday, our families bring in non-perishable food items (cereal, soup, etc.) for our local food bank.  This summer, the Food Bank is in need of peanut butter, spaghetti sauce and toilet paper.  Egg cartons are needed to re-package bulk eggs for the families.

The "Soul Shift" church Resource Kit is an 8-week church-wide journey that challenges your congregation
to experience seven key shifts – life changes that God’s Spirit will bring in people’s hearts, minds, and
behaviors, from the very youngest to the most mature of disciples.
Use these tools and watch God shift his family – young and old, in the church and in the home – toward the
deeper, Spirit-driven life that he desires for his people.

WUMC Family,

Welcome to SoulShift Small Groups!  Please sign up for one group's first meeting date/time by clicking on the SignUpGenius link below.  Groups will run for eight weeks beginning with that first date, finishing up just before Easter.  If any snow days, your group will wrap up the week following Easter.  Can’t make it in person but want to participate? Sign up for a group and note in the comment box “remote” and we’ll work on getting you connected via Skype or FaceTime if possible. If you anticipate joining in the light supper fellowship on Sunday or Wednesday evenings, please sign up for that as well so we can guage the amount of food to have.  (Couples & Families just need one person to sign up and indicate the number of people in the comments.)  Please feel free to invite other family, friends, and neighbors!  If you have any questions, please contact Wendy Jones at 301-639-7395 or wendy.jones@rocketmail.com.

The mission of Kairos Prison Ministry, Inc. is to bring Christ's Love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families, and those who work with them, and to assist in the transition of becoming a productive citizen.

Psst... You don't have to come to the church to pray.

Pray for these folks in your own sanctuary as necessary.

Thank you and God bless!

Angela Kleimola

Think about it...what if you were the one in prison, alone?  Wouldn't you want some to pray for you?

Every Sunday 10:30 am in Georgetown Hall.
Come join our Team.
You can be the Host, or Hostess of this event.

If you would like to join us, please e-mail Leslie Baker, labbaker@gmail.com.

The job consists of arriving about 20 minutes early to start the coffee and 'prep' the snacks and then leaving the service just before the final benediction to set the coffee and snacks out.

The Kitchen Committee wants to thank everyone for their efforts in keeping our refrigerators and freezer so much nicer.  Keeping them cleared out really helps limit waste, clutter, as well as possible Health Department concerns.  So if you use those appliances, please continue to:

·         Use a sticky dot to label the group you’re associated with.  These dots can be found in top drawer to the right of the refrigerator.

·         Put on a date on the sticker.

·         If you had altar flowers, please get them from refrigerator within two days.

Unlabeled items will be thrown away.

Questions?  Contact Lee Frazier, Committee Chair (301-606-4255) Thank you!

ALL members and groups holding events or meetings need to fill out a Building Usage form.

A hard copy is also available in the church office. Please fill it out and hand it in to the church office.

If you are a ‘key holder’, please make sure the door you are exiting is locked behind you.

If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Baker.

" Can I Get an AMEN?"

Amen itself is an interjection used to agree with, affirm, approve, or emphasize something else that has been said.

Thus when Jesus begins certain sayings by declaring "Amen, amen, I say to you . . . "
