The States and a Fresh Start

The beginning of this month was a whirlwind.  I was able to make a trip back to the States.  I was able to do many things in a short amount of time, but I also got to rest and just hang out with my family.  It was the perfect combination.

The first weekend I made the trip to Home Country for one my very best friend’s wedding.  It was an incredible day!  I am so glad that I got to be there for her special day.  Here is a picture of me and the bride!

Then I made my way back to Home State and was able to find some rest.  Most days we just stayed at the house and didn’t do much of anything.  Then other days we visited favorite restaurants and saw friends.  Many mornings I go to go on walks with my daddy, our favorite pastime!  Also, mom and I got in some great shopping trips, our favorite!!  Below seems to be one of the only pictures we got.  We are pretty terrible at remembering to take pictures... Over the past week, I have settled back into life here in Mission Country.  I told you in my last newsletter that in the beginning of July I was able to attend a training in which I learned many things that will be help me to organize, focus, and strategize my work here.  I came back really excited and a little bummed that I couldn’t get started right away because of my trip to the States.  However, this past week I have been able to start a couple of the ideas that the Father gave me a vision for at the training.

Our work in KTown was something that I set before the Father at this training.  I wanted to surrender it to Him again.  I wanted to seek guidance from Him about the next moves.  I wanted to ask Him how we can see his name glorified in KTown.  He answered in huge ways and surrounded me with people who were able to speak into the work and give awesome ideas.  Also, he spoke to me daily through our study of the book of Acts and worsh!p time.

This past week I gathered the KTown team and shared with them many of the things that I have learned over the past month.  We began to discuss all these things and so much more.  There were many ideas that were flying around.  Then, suddenly, one of the team members wisely spoke up and said, “Let’s not make this decision on our own.  Let’s take time to fast and pr@y.”  We all agreed wholeheartedly.  We took the next two days to fast and pry over the work in KTown. This past Sunday we met at my house for the breaking of the fast.  It was an incredible time of intentional pryer for every aspect of the work.  After pryer we shared what the Father had shown us during our time of seeking him.  We were able to set up a new schedule, new strategies, and the excitement was great.  Then we broke the fast together, which as a sweet time!

Please remember the Ktown team as we start our new schedule this coming week. We will be following up with people whom we have already met and hopefully have conversations with many new people.  Pry against discouragement as we go out weekly.  Ask for open hearts and minds as we share the His story!

Remember…

KTown team and the ones with whom they are sharing

I will begin going out with a national partner twice a week to two separate villages. Ask for those that hear the news!

Ask for my language, without daily classes I need to set aside time to continue learning and improving my language.
