Christmas is Near!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had an awesome holiday here, complete with ham and turkey from America (Thanks Mom!). Now, it’s the most wonderful time as we set aside time to celebrate the birth of our Sav!or J3sus Chr!st. He was sent to this earth that we might be reconciled back to the Father. G0d longs for all peoples on this earth to know and share in a relationship with him through his son. However, over 4 billion people in this world are living among people groups who are unconsidered unreached. In SB chrches all over America we are working together to be obedient to the call that the Father has placed on our lives to reach the nations with the G0spel. We have a unique opportunity in the month of December through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. We have the opportunity to give so that people may hear! Last year you gave graciously so that many, including myself, might be sent to serve among an unreached people. 100% of your gifts through the LMCO go to field and the kingdom task. I wanted to take some time to show you this morning how your faithful giving has supported me and my ministry this past year in Nation.
Through your giving, I am able to have a good running vehicle This vehicle allows me to travel and navigate traffic safely in our city. And also, to go travel the bumpy, dusty roads out to the bush. This set of wheels allows the Word to go many places it has never been before.
Through your giving, I have been able to receive incredible language learning through a tutor that comes to my house every day. She is a believer, who prays daily with me as we work together our country for Chr!st. I am working hard daily to be able to communicate the Good News in the best language possible.
Through your giving, I have been to travel to neighboring countries and attend trainings on how best to communicate the Good News in my context as well as how to meet physical needs in my country. The trainings have been invaluable and I am already so much of the knowledge I have gained to my m!nistry.
Through your giving, I have been able to share the Good News with many through the use of memory cards. We upload these cards with stories from the B!ble in the recipient’s heart language.
Through your giving, I have the opportunity to d!sciple four young women who are going out on a weekly basis and sharing the Good News with their family, friends, and neighbors. Every Tuesday night, we meet together for worsh!p, fellowship, a time of learning, and accountability. The Father is growing them for big things in his Kingdom!
Through your giving, my colleagues and I have been able to train hundreds of nationals this past year to share the Good News through B!ble stories in the city and out in the villages around our country. There is an excitement at these training as many people are understanding their responsibility in the G0spel and being obedient to share in their communities.
These are just some of the things that have been possible this past year by G0d’s grace and your giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. I want to tell you that I am sincerely grateful for your sacrifice for the nations. Many people here in Nation and across the world are hearing for the first time and many are accepting G0d’s free gift of grace. In 2016, our sending agency, supported by the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, was a part of planting 4,500 churches where there has previously been none and 87,000 people across our world came to know Chr!st. This year I, myself, am asking the Father again how I can be obedient to the call by giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. I encourage you to do the same this year.
