The Time Has Come...

These past few weeks have flown by!  I can’t believe my time at training has come to an end.  The time has been sweet and the friends I have met will be lifelong.  Although this time has been fun, it has also been a time of stretching and renewal.  The Father has taught me so much about Himself.  He has taught me of His heart for all the peoples of the world.  He has brought me through a process of brokenness, that has caused me to lean into Him more, and for that I am so very grateful.  I pr@y that I never forget this time that He has allowed to prepare for serving His kingdom.

During our time at training we have had many intentional times of going out and sharing the good news with those in a nearby city.  I was able to have so many good conversations and pr@y for so many hurting souls.  Our seventh week of training we made a trip to NYC for our urban intensive.  The purpose of the trip was to experience city life, practice mapping a new city, and intentionally share the message among urban dwellers.  All of this in preparation for our arrivals in new cities across the globe in the coming weeks.

Did you know that New York City is home to about 100,000 Nationals?  And many of them speak the language.  We were able to engage many Nationals in lots of conversations and tell many Bible stories.  In Harlem, we met two men and were able to share the Good News through Bible stories.  Through conversation we found out that since arriving in New York City they have been exposed to the G0spel and have been wrestling with it since.

“I know we can’t both be right” said the owner of a National fabric store.

“I must have a clean and pure heat before the L0rd” said a National street vendor.

These questions led to conversations, which brought tears and more questions.  As we left them we pr@yed that the Father would reveal to them the true way.  Please life up these men that the scales of their hearts may fall away and for the Son to be seen for who He really is, Our Redeemer!

My next update will be from the other side of the ocean.  I begin my journey on January 5th.  I will be at home enjoying family and friends these next 2 and ½ weeks.  I would love to hug your necks before I go.  Just give me call or a text!

As always, I am so thankful for your prayers and have felt them so much over the last weeks at training.  I have included a few more requests below.

Requests…

  • Sweet and meaningful goodbyes with my family and friends
  • For my family’s heart during this season of sending
  • For safe and uneventful travel
  • For a smooth transition as I arrive
  • For language and culture acquisition as I arrive
  • For the many we were able to share with in the City, may their hearts be opened

Pr@ying for all of you during this Christmas season, as we celebrate the birth of our Sav!or!!
