Just for Fun

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.   Proverbs 17:22

Fun activities provide opportunities for youth to make new friends, deepen existing friendships, and meet a need that young people, especially, seem to have to just “have fun.”  At every event – even parties –a devotion or prayer helps keep these gatherings Christ-centered.

Thursday Night Youth Fellowship: Youth meet from 7 to 8:30 PM in the Youth Rooms.

Outings and Parties:  A few other fun activities include trips to the beach, game nights, lock-ins at church, pizza-making get-togethers, Walleyball, and the youth Christmas party. In fact, there are so many fun youth activities, there simply is not room enough to describe them all.

Church Family Fun:  A lot of the fun activities for our church family include all ages.  And our youth are definitely a part of these events.  These include corn toss tournaments, fiesta, Trunk and Treat, and Family Camp. Family Camp is a joyous time for all families and people of all ages in our church to spend a weekend together for fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth.  We always include games that everyone can play.  There’s plenty of time to get to know other families better.  The weekend includes programs that contribute to spiritual growth and concludes with a special worship service.  The next Family Camp will be held at Carpinteria Beach September 26 through 28.
