The Bible provides clear answers in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" See yourself for what you are... a sinner. Sin is tragic, it destroys. You must repent and that means a change of heart, mind and it results in a change of action.
Believe in Jesus Christ
John 3:16 states "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." You must believe that Christ died for your sins and because of that we are free to live a life by choice.
Confess and Make a Decision
You must acknowledge your shortcomings and God will forgive you.
1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and clean us from all unrighteousness. You must believe in Christ and receive Him personally into your life by faith in order for you to be saved from the power of sin and its consequences.
