Frequently Asked Questions: Where do I park? Our facility is located on the corner of Ratcliffe and Emanuel Church Roads with our Worship Center (Sanctuary) facing Ratcliffe. Our guest parking lot (marked with green and white signs) is on the Highway 82 side of our facility close to the Worship Center and is accessible from Ratcliffe Road. Special needs’ parking is between our facility and Ratcliffe Road, accessible from Emanuel Church Road (marked with blue and white signs). Our special needs parking area also provides a concrete pad for dropping off passengers and ramp access to our facility. Additional parking is available on the sides and in back of the facility. How do I find my way around Emanuel? We have been praying for you and will be looking for you! Our Welcoming Team is ready to help you and your family find your way around the Emanuel facility. Welcoming Team members will be happy to guide you to the children's area or nursery, restrooms, etc; as well provide you with our worship program and answer any questions that you may have. (Click Here for a facility layout) What do I wear? Dress comfortably. Some of our participants wear ‘Sunday Best’, but most wear comfortable clothes. Don’t worry about what you wear – just come to worship God and get to know us. What do I bring? You can bring your Bible if you have one. While our worship service is Bible-based, Bibles are provided in the Sanctuary pews for your convenience. We use video projection in the Worship with most song lyrics and scriptures on the screen.
When do I need to arrive? Worship is Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM with traditional Hymns and piano. Sunday School begins at 9:00 AM. Arriving 10-15 minutes before the start of the service or Sunday School is usually plenty of time to park and get where you are going.
What do I do with my children? Emanuel has excellent programs for children. Welcome Team members will assist you in getting your children to the appropriate class. What about Child Security?
Child security is taken very seriously at Emanuel. Everyone working with children and youth is required to go through our Child/Youth Protection Training (Safe Sanctuaries), which includes interviews, training sessions, and a background check by a professional agency. All children and youth are signed in and out of classes and NO one is allowed to take a child from the nursery or children’s program unless previously authorized by the parent/guardians.
