From the Introductory Brochure:

With great enthusiasm and joy, Yates Baptist Church has called Christopher Ingram to be our new pastor. We feel that you will similarly find him to be good natured, approachable, and focused on his congregation by being faithful in worship, missions minded, and compassionate. Yates Baptist Church Pastor Search Committee

Yates’ ministry of the Gospel of Christ is a compelling and energizing context with which my gifts in ministry are quite closely aligned. We are very excited about what God holds in store!  Christopher Ingram

Focused on the Congregation
I view my pastoral role as one who equips the people with ways of seeing what is happening as we follow Jesus.
Christopher Ingram

Missions minded
Christopher is focused on missions. He led the congregation to get involved in community-based missions. Former minister colleague

Open Minded
Very open to new ideas and won’t take charge like a bull – some people have to learn that the hard way, but not Christopher.  Former ministerial supervisor

Faithful in Worship
I prefer worship that calls out and celebrates the gifts of the congregation, worship that is authentic to the character of the congregation.

Compassionate

I was often aware of a stirring that compelled me toward a deep compassionate response to the deep needs of the world, whether material, social, emotional, relational, or spiritual.  Christopher Ingram

He taught us to love unconditionally by example, because that is what he did. He never cared or acted differently because of someone’s background or who they were. Church member and deacon at a former church

Approachable

His gift is in knowing the right thing to say at any occasion. He also always makes everyone comfortable, both one on one and from the pulpit. Church member and deacon at a former church

Christopher has the ability to lead people in a healthy way, not a domineering way.  CBFNC leader
