Presbyterian Men
All men of New Providence Presbyterian Church – members and friends – are welcome and encouraged to participate with us in work, worship, and witnessing.
Lead Team
Leaders of each Square and other designated individuals meet periodically as a ‘Lead Team’ to oversee the programs of NPPM (New Providence Presbyterian Men). Contact Denny Moore if you have any questions.
The Mission of Presbyterian Men
“To lead men into a vital relationship with Christ and to assist them in their spiritual, personal, and community development.”
Purposes
The basic purposes of Presbyterian Men are:
To lead men into a vital relationship with Christ;
To develop their understanding of the mission of the church and to assist congregations in nurturing men of the church to mature discipleship;
To encourage men in the church through their commitment to Christ, to fulfill the ministry to which men are called in their families, in their daily work, and in their ministry to other people in the community and the world; and
To involve men of various racial/ethnic backgrounds and men of different ages.
Objectives
These purposes can be realized through the following objectives of Presbyterian Men:
To enable men to understand their identity in Christ
To deepen the spiritual life of men through Christian fellowship which finds expression in mission
To cultivate participation in programs and projects enabling men to serve Christ in their congregations and communities
To develop effective leadership skills which men can use to fulfill their ministries where they are
To equip men to meet the mission needs and social challenges of a world in need of reconciliation
