Younger Preschool:

Babies, Ones, and Twos are encouraged to explore, manipulate, and discover God’s world. Their teachers will talk with them about God, Jesus and the Bible as they love on them unconditionally. An Information sheet is provided for you to complete so we will be able to care for your child better.

Tips for making your preschooler’s experience a great one:

When dropping your child off:
  • Please label the bag and all the items in the bag. Please label any formula with mixing instructions. Please write down any special instructions for the teacher.
  • At the door of your child’s room, a teacher will greet and receive your child. We prefer the parent remain at the door in order to keep from disrupting the children that have already settled into the room.
  • The Babies through Ones have pagers for the parents. The Two's parents are issued a kiddie keeper. You will need to sign in on the line next to your child’s pager number or next to their kiddie keeper number.
When picking up your child:
  • Please return the pager or kiddie keeper to the child’s teacher at the door. They will bring your child to you upon receiving the beeper or kiddie keeper.

Older Preschool:
Older Preschool is ages Pre-K3 through Kindergarten. They must be 3, 4 or 5 by September 1.  We believe that preschoolers should be learning any time they are with us. Our teachers plan for each session keeping your child’s needs in mind.   They learn about God, Jesus, Church and the Bible through their “play.” We use blocks, art, home living, music, books, puzzles, and nature centers to teach preschoolers.  An Information sheet is provided for you to complete on your child.

Tips for helping your child have a positive experience at Zion Baptist Church:

When you drop off your child, please:
  • Sign in your child on the “Sign In Sheet.” The teacher will then hand you a kiddie keeper with the same number of the line you signed in on.
  • The parent should remain at the door when dropping your child off. This avoids disrupting the teaching that is taking place.
  • Please label your child’s belongings.
When picking up your child, please:
  • Return the kiddie keeper to the child’s teacher at the door. They will bring your child to you upon receiving the kiddie keeper.
An adult must pick up your child.
