Welcome to West Chelmsford United Methodist Church's
worship page.

We hope that you will also feel welcome at all of our worship services.

Mission Statement:
God is calling the Worship Committee to provide a friendly, warm, and welcoming place
to worship for every person wishing to praise and thank God.
To answer that call, it is the goal of the Worship Committee to be continually aware
that worship is as unique as each individual in the congregation.
This committee will be open to new and different ways to worship God,
along with the more traditional forms of worship.

What is worship?
Is it singing, praying,  meditating, witnessing, praising or just listening.
Worship is all of these things  and more.
Although giving praise and glory to God is unique and personal, we were created to be a community.
Here at WCUMC, we offer many ways to share God's word, praise God's gift of Jesus Christ,
enjoy each other and find strength and help.

On the first Sunday of each month, at 9:30am  service, we offer
a traditional United Methodist service with hymns from the United Methodist Hymnal,  anthems sung by our Senior Choir,
and prayers, and responses in the basic pattern of the United Methodist Church.
On this Sunday, also, communion is  celebrated.

The second Sunday of the month, at 9:30am  we celebrate our Contemporary  Praise worship.
At these services music is more contemporary and congregational singing is lead by
our Praise band,  and Praise Choir.

On the third Sunday of each month, ,  we have a Family Service.
Here is a slightly more relaxed atmosphere where parents and children can worship together.
The scripture is read from the children's Bible, the sermon is more interactive and presented by our
Director of Christian Education, and special music is offered by the Carol Choir and Joy Ringers,
grades 2-6, along with the Celebration Ringers and Singers, grades 7-12.

The fourth Sunday of each month is again a traditional United Methodist service at  9:30am
with music offered  by the Festival Ringers, our adult handbell choir.

Whether the service is traditional, praise, or child friendly, all services are Christ centered
and we do praise God with a joyous heart.
