Rebekah Dickerson

Rebekah Dickerson
Church Administrative Assistant

Rebekah Dickerson grew up as a Southern Baptist preacher’s daughter in and around Winder, Georgia. She was saved at the age of 8 years old. She participated actively in ministry throughout her high school and college years, including teaching VBS, Sunday School, music ministry, and as a staff pianist as Upatoi Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia. During college, Rebekah found herself wandering from her faith and struggling with what direction her life was taking. Her son, Oliver, was born in February, 2008 and is the first miracle that God used to call her completely to Him.

In 2011, Rebekah rejoined the ministry as a staff organist for Bethabara Baptist Church in Statham, Georgia. She began working with church planting in 2013, and joined the volunteer staff of The River SBC in Monroe, Georgia in 2014, along with training through the Georgia Baptist Convention on their church planting track. She also met her husband while building he worked to build a young adult ministry, FIO (Figure It Out), and non-profit ministry (Safety Net), in Monroe, Georgia. They were married in December, 2016. Her husband, Daniel, and their daughter, Emerald (Born October, 2017), are the other two miracles God has used in her life to remind her that He is always, only good.

Rebekah joined the staff at Zion Baptist in September, 2015 as the Church Administrative Assistant. She absolutely loves her job and that she is able to serve in this way. Rebekah has a Bachelor’s of Music from Columbus State University (Columbus, Georgia), a Master’s in Christian Studies from Luther Rice Seminary (Lithonia, Georgia), and a Master’s of Divinity from Luther Rice. She loves to study, teach, and write about God’s word. She currently lives in Walnut Grove, Georgia with Daniel, Oliver, and Emerald, and plays the organ for Bethabara Baptist. She thanks God every day that He blessed her beyond belief.
