Summary

How do you measure love? In one sense, you can't. Love is ineffable. But in another sense, you can measure love. Through commitment, duration, and level of sacrifice. Jim Elliot is an instance of deep sacrifice out of love for people, through giving his own life. And yet, his sacrifice is a pale shadow of an even deeper sacrifice--God giving His Son to the world because of love. God's love for the world should empower us to love the world, and evangelize it.
