Summary

Debate surrounds what pastors are supposed to do in the local church. Are they to be campaigners, community activists, mere employees, or dictators? Do we have an objective standard for what pastors are supposed to do? We believe that the Bible is a sure guide for the duties of pastors. And the Bible describes pastors as men who lead by instructing in the Word and living out the Word, centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What a great benefit to the local church for God to raise up men who lead with the Word of God!
