The Kaaba is a cuboid-shaped structure located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is the holiest site for Muslims, the oldest, and one of the most well-known cultural landmarks in the entire world. According to the Quran, after Ishmael had established in Arabia, Abraham (Ibrahim in Arabic) and his son Ismael (Ismaeel in Arabic) built the Kaaba. The Masjid al-Haram, a mosque, has been constructed all around the structure. No matter where they are, all Muslims around the world bow to the Kaaba during prayer. The Qiblah is facing in this situation. Every Muslim is required to make the Hajj pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime, if they are physically able to do so, as it is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
