Summary

Perhaps you have seen her. Lady Justice shows up on TV, movies, and as a statue. Her scales, sword, and blindfold represent the blind justice that our judicial system seeks to achieve. Where does Western Civilization get this ideal of impartial justice? God, of course. And though we love that God is an impartial judge much of the time, we sometimes wish that God were partial when we commit the injustice. We cannot hope that God will be partial, however, but only in One who satisfies justice on our behalf.
