Summary

Jesus gives the good news that we don't need to fear that what we eat, drink or touch makes us unclean to God. The bad news is that what makes us unclean comes from our own hearts. Mark makes it increasingly obvious that we have no solution to this defilement problem, and that Christ himself cleanses us from sin.
