'God is love' is one of the most famous phrases in all of the Bible...and one of the most misapplied. God's love fully apprehends our sinful actions and nature. God's love is fully reconciled to our deserved eternal punishment. So God expressed His love supremely through sending His Son to bear the wrath for sin and give life to all who believe on Christ. Indeed, God is love!
