Mark 8:27-38 Then Jesus asks, "But what about you?‚ Who do you say that I am? Peter answered, You are the Christ." (Mark 8:29) Perhaps you have resisted totally giving your life away to the Lord's will and ways. You have sought to live your life by your own good feelings, your own ideas, your own happiness and it isn't working. It is time to deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Jesus Christ. It is only then that you will find lasting fulfillment in life.

Mark 8:1-21 Jesus is asking the disciples if they understand, if they see, the invisible reality of the Kingdom of God? He wants them to know what the purpose was behind the feeding of the four thousand and the five thousand. Can they see?

Mark 6:30-44 Compassion is seeing the suffering in someone else's life and doing something to express your heart and help alleviate the suffering.

Mark 5:21-43 One approach might be to take a look at the many expressions of faith that occurred in the life of Jairus one day and as we do take a look at our faith and where God is wanting to grow us.

Mark 5:1-20 Grace is God's Redemptive Action in Christ Expressed. Those words, whose first letter spell Grace, help us understand Grace. It is the God initiated act of redemption expressed in and through Jesus Christ to the world. It means that Jesus Christ is the unique vessel that God has chosen to reveal what God's heart is like to His creatures. We see the unexpected, unmerited, unconditional act of God's love that comes to us in Grace. We are a people of grace. Sometimes we forget that and live our lives believing that our faith is all up to our goodness and efforts.

Mark 4: 30-41 What does it take to cause you to experience fear? What does it take to cause you to experience faith? Faith and Fear live in tension with each other and it all depends on what life's experiences you encounter as to what you will find in your heart. The disciples were ordinary men who were a mixture of faith and fear. We see this one day during a storm they encountered.

Mark 3:7-35 Conflict happens when two differing teams with different goals in mind collide. Let us resolve to be with Jesus, no matter what happens. Let us resolve to share the good news of God's coming to earth in the life of Jesus Christ, no matter what happens. Let us resolve to take the authority that the Holy Spirit gives us to bring healing and hope to those whom we are sent to, no matter what happens.

Mark 2:18 - 3:6 "Jesus came to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable." Today we read about Jesus' ministry that causes the comfortable, the religiously comfortable, to become afflicted, troubled, bothered, and disturbed. We will be looking at three instances where Jesus is afflicting the comfort of people.

Mark 1:21-45 I want us look at Mark 1:40-45 to understand more about God's purposes through the life of Jesus Christ. In today's text we see Jesus Christ bringing comfort to hurting people. He was involved in a healing ministry to those with demons, fevers, leprosy, paralysis and other diseases. He gave them new life and hope with their healing.

Mark 1:1-13 The Good News from Mark today is that we can have a new life. Heaven has been ripped open and all the resources God has are available for us today, right now. Perhaps even more amazing than God's power is that we ultimately have the power to receive all that God has or we can resist it.
