Summary

Jesus came to serve others and give his life as a ransom. He gives this truth as the basis for the radical reorientation in thinking necessary for his followers: to serve, not be served. Do we seek our own -- to be "made much of" by Christ and others -- or do we seek the blessing of Jesus in order to follow with him "on the way" of service and sacrifice?
