During His earthly ministry, Jesus often used provocative declarations to clarify the priorities of His listeners. If the great crowds that followed Him were to be His disciples, they must "hate wife and children, father and mother." The apostle Paul leads us to ask another provocative question: What is the chief reason to evangelize? The answer is not "for love of the lost." The chief reason to evangelize is to see the worship of God spread to more and more people.
