Summary

What would we call a situation where a drug-dependent dad disciplines his daughter for sniffing paint? Hypocrisy? Sure. But we should also call it 'the mercy of God.' Even more dreadful than rebelling against God ourselves, is to encourage our own sinful behavior in the lives of others. In a culture plagued with 'applauding the sin of others,' we as Christians should repent of encouraging sin in others as well as participating in the sin ourselves, for the sake of God's name.
