Summary

We tend to think that the exercise of authority cannot be loving, and that love could not possibly involve the exercise of authority. Yet the fullest expression of God's love -- Jesus Christ -- went to great lengths to proclaim and demonstrate his authority in leading a kingdom and setting the parameters of who will enter.
