Pastor Jennie's sermon today had a great impact on me. She prefaced it by giving some background. It seems a Cambodian man, when he was a kid during the Khmer Rouge dictatorship, was forced to plant between 4-5,000 land mines a month. As an adult, his conscience bothered him. He started clearing the mines he'd laid as a child. His explanation: "Mines are like sins. You have to know where they are, then dig them up. And not plant anymore."
