Summary

"That's not fair." This phrase can be heard among all ages and in all kinds of situations. We are conditioned and designed to look for what is fair. So it should not surprise us to find the question of fairness come up when Paul asserts that God's choice is supreme, even in salvation. In our independence, we wonder if God is unjust to save some and not others. Paul asserts forcefully with Scripture that indeed God is just, and sovereign over salvation.
