Summary

Be careful what you wish for. This is probably some advise you have received from a parent or teacher. A great example is the lottery. Many who have won the lottery wish they never had. As fallen people, we also wish to be judged on our own merit...to stand on our own two feet. The Apostle Paul warns us that we better be careful what we wish for. If we are judged by God on our own merit, it will not end well. Our only hope is to be judged on the merit of Another.
