DISCOVER . . .
Indian Springs Baptist Church!
"A Pioneer Ministry Since 1829"
|
The present church building was constructed in 1854 but it began much earlier in 1829. The church has remained in continual existence for 180 years and today is the 5th oldest Baptist church in Florida. Indian Springs has ordained a number of ministers and has set forth at least two foreign missionaries.

 |
At the present time we have several 5th generation families attending Indian Springs and we pray this community of God's love will continue through our children, their children and for many generations to come. Our desire is to minister to you and your loved ones and to help strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ. We pray this web site is informative and inspirational and we look forward to hearing from you.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
IF you are interested in working in Vacation
Bible School, please let the Pastor know. We
want to get a jump on our preparations for
VBS so we need to know who we can depend
on to help. You can send your response
via the contact form on this site and
there will be sign-up sheets handed out
over the next few weeks.
Remember, this is a time we devote to our
children and the children in the community,
and it is the one venue that we have the
greatest opportunity to reach these young
minds and reveal to them the GREATEST gift
they will ever receive - JESUS CHRIST! For
5 days, they get our total attention, so, ask
God how and where He wants you to serve!
The date for VBS has not been set yet, as
soon as we have it pin-pointed, we will let
you know.

Youth News
Minister of Youth: Vance Robbins
Committee Member: Bethany Robbins
This year our youth are planning to be a part of the Florida
Baptist Association's "Project Big Bend"! This is an
opportunity for our youth to be involved in a local mission
project! Along with other churches in the Big Bend area,
they will do light renovation projects for local families in
need. The week will include worship time, Bible Study,
and an opportunity for our youth to make an investment
in the community where they live!
So far we have 16 youth representing our church in this
project and the cost per student is $150.00. The week
they will be working is July 12th - 16th, 2010! The church
has already made a deposit to reserve our spot, and in the
coming months the Youth will be hosting several of the
Wednesday night suppers and all proceeds will go to help
our Youth meet the financial portion of the event.
Be looking for more details about the event as well as how
you can help support our Youth in their efforts to give back
to our community and in the process fellowship with each
other, make new friends, study God's word and help our
brothers and sisters in Christ name!
If at any time you wish to make a donation towards this
Youth project, you may do so by giving a check and in the
memo portion of your check, write "Youth Project"!
