Becoming a Member of FHBC

The membership of Forest Hills Baptist Church consists of persons who have made a profession of their faith in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, who have experienced New Testament baptism by immersion, who desire to be numbered among His disciples, and who are in sympathy with the faith and practices of this church.

A person joins Forest Hills Baptist Church by coming forward in a worship service to:

1. Profess faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and
2. Affirming that profession in one of the following ways:
   • Baptism - being baptized by immersion,
   • Letter of Transfer - transferring your church membership from another Southern Baptist church to FHBC, or 
   • Statement of Faith - affirming that you are a Christian and that you were baptized by immersion in another church of like beliefs and practices.
