Kick Off Sunday 2012

On Sunday, August 12, we'll kick off our fall programs! Join us – and invite a friend! Here are a few activities to watch for on Kick Off Sunday:

  • Vinebranch contemporary worship returns to two Sunday worship services (8:30 and 11 a.m.) in Vinebranch Chapel. Learn more about our contemporary services by visiting our Vinebranch Facebook page.
  • Traditional services will be offered at 8:30 and 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

  • Promotion Sunday: Children will move up a grade to new Sunday School classes.
  • New Children’s Church curriculum: Children will begin “JUMP! Put Faith in Motion,” focusing on the life of Paul.

  • The Roots Youth Ministry – for sixth through twelfth grade students – will meet for Bible study on Sundays, 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the Methodist Youth Center (MYC). Grade-level classes will study the essence of community in the New Testament church.
  • [lit]: This worship experience for youth – [lit] stands for “life internally transformed” – will meet on Sundays, 6-8 p.m. in the MYC. Parents’ Night at [lit] is August 19. Parents should plan to attend this potluck event. Click here to register.
  • Life Groups: These small grade and gender groups will meet on Wednesdays, 6:30-8 p.m., in the MYC, for encouragement and prayer in applying biblical truth to everyday life.

  • After a break during the month of July, choirs begin rehearsals.
  • Online registration for our 16 children’s choirs continues through August 24. The choir registration party is August 29. Rehearsals begin September 15 and will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
  • The youth music kick off, “Ready, Set, Go,” is August 12, 5-6 p.m. in Trinity Hall. First rehearsals are scheduled for August 19 at 4 p.m. (for the Genesis Choir) and 5 p.m. (for the Exodus Choir) in the choir room.
