Braces

“My daughter has received excellent care at Dr. Walker’s office. Every process has been explained in detail to both me and my child. Dr. Walker and his staff have provided very professional care. I would recommend them to anyone who would appreciate being treated like family.” — L.B., mom of female, age 10

“As an adult, I’m not even done with my Invisalign treatment, and I’ve already received several compliments about my smile. Thanks!” — C.B., female, age 54

“I like that my teeth are straighter now. That’s good. Yay braces.” —E.A., female, age 20

Traditional Metal

The most common type of braces we use are traditional metal and they are more comfortable than ever. Metal brackets are made from cobalt chromium and are bonded directly to the teeth. Patients enjoy having the option of "choosing their colors" (changing the o-rings -tiny round elastics that hold wire in place) to match their mood, football team or favorite holiday!

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic, or clear braces (think Tom Cruise, Gwen Stefani, etc.) are made of tooth-colored ceramic and are less noticeable than traditional metal. Typically, we use them more on adults concerned with aesthetics as they require a bit more oral hygiene care than most teens are willing to give. The brackets are more brittle than metal braces, therefore are used more on the upper arch than the lower, since the lower arch is rarely seen when smiling.

Invisalign & Invisalign Teen

Known as the clear alternative to braces, Invisalign treatment consists of a series of invisible, removable aligners that are replaced every 2 weeks. While worn, they are virtually invisible and are super comfortable. Since they are removable, you can eat and drink anything you want, and brush and floss as usual. No metal means these are a great alternative for those with metal allergies. Learn more at Invisalign.com

“Dr. Walker has been great from the moment I met him, and his staff is just as wonderful as he is. They are great, fun, and the friendliest staff I have ever come in contact with – even when I’m grumpy about my braces. Love you guys!” — N.G., female, age 33

“I had braces done with another orthodontist and was very unhappy with my smile. I then came to Dr. Walker and he had a strategic plan of how to correct my smile…I am so happy with the result – everywhere I go, people ask me who did my braces! — S.S., female, age 21
